The 55-year-old recently wrapped up watching the Netflix special, ‘Chimp Empire’, and appears to be fascinated by it. The Netflix show is based on a community of chimpanzees in Uganda. In JRE episode #1996, Joe Rogan explains how the documentary makers were observing the chimpanzees engage in their daily ordeal, which is similar to that of human beings. He said, “They’re watching these chimps, watching them create chaos, watching them fight over food, [and] watching them control territory. It’s what we do.”

Furthermore, the podcaster reiterated how chimpanzees are smarter than most of the other species of animals in the world. They have a social structure that is similar to how human beings act in society. Rogan added, “They do things that are far more interesting – they act in packs, they [have] social hierarchy systems, they communicate with each other [and ] they have a very complex social structure, just like us.”

JRE host believes that aliens would do the exact same things as the ‘Chimp Empire’ documentary makers

Joe Rogan feels chimpanzees would observe human beings in the same way the documentary makes of the Netflix special did to them in Uganda, if the roles were reversed. Moreover, he believes the only difference between these apes and humans is the fact that human beings are more advanced. Rogan said, “We’re just a more advanced version of that. And if they’re more advanced version of us, I’d imagine they’d watch us the way we watch those chimps.”

Rogan believes that if he had been an alien, he would have adopted the exact method of observance. “They [the documentary makes] don’t interfere, they make their presence known, they are always there, but they don’t do anything. They allow these chimps to behave just like chimps,” said Joe Rogan. He added, “And if I was an alien and I wanted to study human beings, I’d do that.”
