At UFC Vegas 76, Sean Strickland stopped the Abus Magomedov hype train. After weathering the Dagestan-born fighter’s storm in the first round, Strickland stopped him in just the second round of the main event. This was Strickland’s second win in a row, bouncing back from a two-fight losing streak. Without a second thought, ‘Tarzan’ is currently one of the most promising prospects at middleweight.

But it’s not just his in-ring action that makes him such a talked-about figure in the sport of MMA. Apart from his calm and constant pressure, the American is known for his outspokenness. It doesn’t matter how controversial his opinions are, the fighter never shies away from expressing them, which he has proven once again.

After his dominant performance at UFC Vegas 76, Sean Strickland finally made his much-anticipated appearance in The Joe Rogan Experience. Over the years, Joe Rogan‘s podcast has turned into the pinnacle platform for people to open up. Thanks to Strickland’s past choice of words, fans were waiting for him to make this appearance, and as expected, they were not disappointed.

Amidst it all, Strickland opened up about his opinion on Abus Magomedov. According to the former welterweight, his opponent does not have the caliber to be in a premier organization like the UFC. He credits the German’s entire hype to beating fellow middleweight Dustin Stoltzfus, who, in Strickland’s opinion, also doesn’t belong in the UFC. Taking this criticism a step further, Strickland brought Magomedov’s nationality and into the conversation.

He said, “A lot of these, like Dagi Muslim dudes, they’re bullies, bro. They’re f**king like, you know, that f**king Ali f**king c**t, the manager. I mean, I’m probably gonna rub some people the wrong way, but f**k him.”

For anybody curious, Strickland was referring to Ali Abdelaziz. For this rant, he recalls an old altercation he had with the MMA manager. According to Strickland’s account, Abdelaziz once saw him sparring against Marvin Vettori. Three weeks later, Abdelaziz proposed a bout between Strickland and one of his clients. This is something that seems to have annoyed the American. However, the statement is still surprising, considering Abdelaziz is from Egypt and not Dagestan.

Not the first time for Ali Abdelaziz

Famed for managing fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Kamaru Usman, Ali Abdelaziz is a prominent name in combat sports. However, the manager has often received serious criticism from fighters. One of the most famous incidents involved Conor McGregor. During the weigh-ins of their UFC 229 clash with Nurmagomedov, the two had heated exchanges.

Later, McGregor accused Abdelaziz of passport fraud and defaulting on child support payments for his son ‘Noah’. It’s not just fighters; fans also seem to have issues with the MMA manager.
