It’s not uncommon now that UFC fighters are taking their fight promotion into their own hands. Appearing on podcasts and collaborating with other social media stars has become a normal route for UFC fighters to promote their fights. Ahead of their fight in UFC 292, Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley appeared on the YouTube channel of Adin Ross, a renowned YouTuber.

Both fighters talked about an array of topics with the host, including Sean O’Malley’s infamous habit. If you are not a casual, you already have guessed it. Yes, smoking! During the conversation, Sean O’Malley provided a major update on his infamous habit ahead of his fight against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292.

On being asked by Adin whether he smokes weed or not, O’Malley replied, “I haven’t been,” implying he hasn’t smoked weed for quite some time. 

 

Adin, with curiosity, continued asking questions on the same topic and asked both fighters whether the use of certain substances helps them when they are hurt and stuff. O’Malley took interest in the question and answered thoughtfully, “Ah, there’s a time for it, there’s a time for it, just like there’s a time for, uh, you know, everything.”

Adin also asked both fighters who they think will win the fight. Sean replied casually, saying, “I might win the fight,” while prompting Aljamain to answer the same. Aljamain replied confidently, saying, “I think I’m gonna dominate the fight. That’s the difference.”

Ahead of his fight with Sean O’Malley (16-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC), Aljamain Sterling (23-3 MMA, 15-3 UFC) has shown his interest in moving to the featherweight division. The Jamaican-American fighter is coming off a split-decision win over Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo at UFC 288. With his upcoming fight, the bantamweight champion is making a fast return to the octagon after just a short span of 3 months. This fight will be Sterling’s fourth title defense.

Meanwhile, Sean O’Malley is coming off a controversial split decision win-win against Petr Yan at UFC 280. O’Malley, who is the challenger for the title, has won 4 out of his last 5 fights, one being no contest against Pedro Munhoz. Currently ranked number 2, the bantamweight title challenger is looking to continue his winning run toward UFC gold in his first UFC title bout.
