During the podcast, Rogan and Shore discussed one of the most trending topics in the field of science – Quantum Computers. Rogan revealed that there is a fierce competition between some of the world’s largest companies and China to build the first real quantum computer. These companies include names like Google (with a valuation of $1332 billion), Microsoft (with a valuation of $1785 billion), and IBM.
According to Rogan, these companies and countries are in a race to develop a machine that has an artificial general intelligence of quantum computing. If and when developed, the computer would be able to do far more tasks that a traditional computers. He also noted that whoever wins this race will likely have technological advantage over the entire world.

According to Rogan, there are a few quantum computers in existence, but all of them can perform very specific tasks. “They already have a couple, but they are only designed to do very specific tasks. They don’t have an artificial general intelligence of quantum computing.”
Quantum computing is a relatively new field that relies on the principles of quantum mechanics to process information. Unlike classical computers, which use bits that can be either 0 or 1, quantum computers use quantum bits, or qubits. Hence, they can process information way faster.
