In a highly anticipated co-main event at UFC Saudi Arabia, Michael ‘Venom’ Page put on a striking clinic, handing Shara Magomedov the first loss of his professional career. Competing at The Venue in Riyadh, Page showcased his elite precision and tactical brilliance, securing a unanimous decision victory with judges scoring the fight 30-27, 30-27, and 29-28 in his favor. From the opening bell, Page’s unorthodox movement and pinpoint striking kept Magomedov at bay.

This victory not only highlighted Page’s striking mastery but also reinforced his strategic intelligence inside the Octagon. At 37 years old, Page moved up to middleweight for this fight, but he now has his sights set on returning to welterweight to pursue UFC gold. However, former UFC champion Michael Bisping isn’t convinced that’s the right decision.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Bisping shared his thoughts, saying: “MVP—I would like to see him stay at 185, but he told us at the post-fight show he wants to go back down to 170. He wants that belt, he feels he’s still got work to do. And I question that because there’s a lot of wrestlers at 170 pounds.”

The Russian, who entered the Octagon with a perfect 15-0 record, struggled to find his rhythm against Page’s elusive style. Known for his aggressive striking and spinning attacks, Magomedov found limited success, as Page skillfully evaded and countered his advances. Even in the final round, when Magomedov attempted to rally, Page’s composure and defensive prowess ensured there would be no comeback.

But why did the Russian fighter fail to live up to the expectations surrounding him? It seems ‘Bullet’ was not a hundred percent fit walking into the fight. However, he has already found himself an opponent. Let’s see what the buzz is about!
