The Pentagon released its latest report on unidentified aerial phenomena (UFOs) back in November. In it, they revealed hundreds of new incidents, though without offering conclusive evidence for the existence of extraterrestrial life. According to this research, most of the reported sightings appear to be related to misidentified objects, such as balloons, birds, and satellites. This official document stresses that, despite the growing public interest and the government’s effort to provide transparency about this phenomenon, there are no indications to suggest life beyond Earth. But what if we are looking for the wrong type of technology and signals? Well, that is what Joe Rogan believes.
Speaking to Ryan Graves, a former Lt. U.S. Navy and F/A-18F pilot, the JRE host drew comparisons between alien life and our ancient civilizations. According to the UFC commentator, it is possible that rather than building spaceships or using Earth’s elements for creating energy, the extraterrestrials might be using different technologies and resources to live instead. This is similar to when the Europeans came across the Mayans and found them using their version of techs and tools to live.
Joe Rogan said on JRE #2244, “When they (Europeans) first encountered these people, before they gave them diseases, they had this insane civilization with gold headdresses and ornate dressing. Everybody was like, “What is this?” There were insane stone structures and human sacrifices. It was like, “What are you guys doing here?” This was a totally and completely different type of civilization. Meanwhile, in Europe, they were wearing wigs, trotting around, and coexisting in a completely different way.”

With this as an example, the JRE host claimed that we human beings can go in very different directions in terms of how our societies develop and the technologies they implement. So why wouldn’t we think that would be the case with extraterrestrials as well? There’s probably an infinite number of paths that intelligent creatures can take to create technology. According to Joe Rogan, “They might be using frequencies or some sort of different way of generating energy that we don’t understand.”
In 2022, Pentagon officials created the Office of All-Domain Anomaly Resolution (AARO) to track UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) indications, looking for potential threats to national security or aviation security. However, they stated that none of the reported sighting cases have extraterrestrial origins. So, it is possible that just like Rogan claimed in the podcast, they might be using other technologies that can be different from a UFO. But it is worth noting that there were recent sightings in New Jersey, so what does Joe Rogan think about that?

Joe Rogan’s theory on the New Jersey sightings
For several days now, the East Coast of the United States has been the scene of multiple sightings of alleged drones, a phenomenon that began in November when an unmanned flying object was detected near a military installation in New Jersey. The reports later spread to Maryland and New York, generating a wave of doubts and conspiracy theories among the population. Social media has been flooded with videos showing mysterious bright lights in the sky, sparking heated speculation about the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

So, what does Joe Rogan think about it? Well, as per the JRE host on JRE #2244, there is a possibility that there is nothing ‘extraterrestrial’ about the flying objects. In fact, they might be drones sent by the United States government to desensitize its civilians about UFOs. A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security also came forward and stated that there is no evidence that these objects pose a threat to public safety, suggesting that many of the alleged drones reported are conventional manned aircraft. The spokesperson stressed that they don’t want to dismiss all the reports as unbelievable. But the magnitude of actual drone activity is “probably less” than reported.
According to the FBI, about 5,000 reports have been received. Of those, about 100 have proven relevant, a senior FBI official said. In addition, most of the alleged drone sightings come from observations from the ground, according to an official. There are “very, very few” reports of drones made by pilots from the air. Many of the reported sightings have also been located near large airports. Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing, including the analysis of videos and interrogations of witnesses. So what do you think? Were these actually aliens or manned drones in the sky? Let us know in the comments.
