The middleweight title contender set down for an interview with Daniel Cormier, Laura Sanko, and John Gooden after his weigh-in. As Gooden mentioned how Sean Strickland captured the hearts of Australian fans, ‘Tarzan’ began to praise the nation’s people for their hospitality and attitude towards him. However, the 32-year-old fighter was looking rather uncomfortable after cutting weight.

The uneasiness was visible on Strickland’s face as he started complaining about the extra pound he had to cut. He said, “That extra pound kinda sucked, man. Extra pound kinda sucked.” It was clear that Strickland did not have much energy left after his weight cut. Subsequently, the broadcast members swiftly ended the interview to let the middleweight star get some rest. The sight of Strickland looking totally exhausted got the fans worried.
