Last year, Dana White came under criticism for giving his friend and YouTuber Kyle Forgeard $250,000 in cash as a birthday gift. Many fans felt it was wrong that the UFC boss would give such an extravagant gift to a Youtuber, instead of paying his fighters fairly.

Forgeard is part of the Canadian-American YouTube group Nelk Boys, known for their prank videos and Full Send podcast. Current and recurring members of the group include Kyle Forgeard, Jesse Sebastiani, Stephen ‘SteveWillDoIt’ Deleonardis, Salim Sirur, Gabriel Poncio, Aaron ‘Steiny’ Steinberg, Arthur Kulik, and Jordan Nwanne. The group is popular among young people. Forgeard and Sebastiani having been described as “two of the most recognizable personalities for young people in North America” by the Toronto Star.

The group is  good friends with Dana White. He appeared in their UFC pop-up show after UFC 289 last month. And it seems their fame is only growing, with bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling and lightweight Nazim Sadykhov having discussed the group on Sterling’s Last Week’s Scraps podcast.

Aljamain Sterling and Nazim Sadykhov discuss Nelk Boys

Aljamain Sterling said that he had recently come across some videos by them. But admitted he was unaware of who they were, ‘Funk Master’ told fellow Law MMA stablemate Nazim Sadykhov. He explains that the Nelk Boys were a prank channel that leveraged their popularity into a podcast.

“So we were watching some of the Nelk Boys clips with this kid Steiny, so I don’t know anything about the number. It was like Jake was kind of giving me a breakdown on what these guys have done and how they’ve gotten so popular. I guess they were like pranksters back in the day and somehow parlayed that into now a really popular podcast and their brand Full Send, whatever that even means. He’s Full Send. Do you know anything about these guys,” Sterling said.

That guy, I think, Salim the Dream is one of the Nelk boys. I watched his stuff on YouTube—the pranks, the public pranks—those are hilarious,” the lightweight told Sterling.
