The sport of MMA is evolving, and the fighters are getting increasingly athletic. However, in the latest episode of the JRE podcast, Rogan and Nickal sat down to analyze how things are changing in the sport. Nickal is one of those athletes who started MMA just two years back and is still learning the sport. However, Rogan is a seasoned professional who witnessed some of the best athletes and practiced martial arts.

Nickal, in the video, said: “The culture of MMA… it’s such a new sport, one. But it’s such a tough guy mentality sport of you know let’s bang, bro, let’s get in there and do this.”

“And it’s you know that’s that’s not really to me. I see fighting moving in a different direction. I see it moving in a way and then I hope to push it more towards [an] analytical professional way to about your sport. The way that NFL quarter back reads a defense right? The way that you hear an NBA basketball player talk about offense, scheme, setting it up like… that’s not the way an MMA fighter talks about fighting.”

The 27-year-old maybe a newcomer but he has some significant knowledge of the sport, training out of ATT with seasoned veterans. However, his knowledge and fighting skills will be tested once he enters the Octagon at UFC 300. Will Nickal be able to keep his winning momentum going?
