Dana White, the UFC CEO, has taken the UFC to new heights under his leadership. He has received criticism from fans and the media on various occasions. Yet he still remains one of the most enigmatic figures in combat sports history. His rise from humble beginnings in Boston to becoming the CEO of the premier MMA organization in the world is inspiring to many.

Recently, White made an appearance on the ‘Uncensored’ show with Piers Morgan. During the interview, Piers Morgan brought up the fact that his sons are enthusiastic fans of the UFC and Dana White. He recounted taking them to the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight in Las Vegas, acknowledging that it was a grand spectacle that epitomized what White represents. The bout featured two exceptional champion fighters from different disciplines, offering a unique and enthralling experience.

Dana White responded by saying, “Yeah, what we try to do is give the best experience we can for fans, either live or on television. It’s the thing that I focus on the most. When you come to a live UFC event or an event that we’re putting on, most people don’t walk out and say I don’t ever want to see one of these again.”

The remark highlighted how much White values the fans and their contribution to the growth of the UFC. His approach to setting up events is how the fans were able to watch the spectacle that was Mayweather vs. McGregor.

During the same interview, when the topic of Conor McGregor’s potential return to fighting arose, Dana White shared his thoughts on the same. Fans last saw ‘The Notorious’ at UFC 264, when his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier ended with an injury sustained by McGregor.

White reveals what his thoughts are on Conor McGregor

When asked if he would like to see McGregor back inside the Octagon, White explained that McGregor’s hunger and motivation to fight have waned. He cited McGregor’s current life, where he has achieved everything he dreamed of and more.

He said, “Everything that Conor McGregor ever dreamed of, and stuff he couldn’t possibly dream of in his life, he has right now. And it’s tough to be on a yacht all summer and then say, ‘Oh, I gotta get back in the gym and start grinding again.'”

White emphasized that this observation wasn’t a criticism but rather a reflection of the realities of life. Particularly in the world of professional fighting.

McGregor, who served as a coach on TUF 31 alongside Michael Chandler, was expected to participate in a bout between the two coaches at the conclusion of the TUF season. Although McGregor’s comeback was slated for the end of this year, he has not yet entered the USADA testing pool for athletes. This means that fans are still unsure if they’ll get to see the former UFC double-champion make his return to the Octagon anytime soon.
