Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier faced each other in one of the biggest UFC events of the year. The pair met each other at the main event of UFC 264. This fight was the third between the two fighters and people were very excited to see how this trilogy would end.

Prior to this fight, ‘Notorious’ and Poirier had faced each other on two other occasions. The first fight between McGregor and Poirier happened way back in 2014. Poirier and McGregor faced each other at the UFC 178 event and ‘Notorious’ had won that fight via a 1st round TKO.

During that time, Poirier was the more popular star, while McGregor was building his way towards MMA superstardom. 7 years later, when the pair met each other again, McGregor was a global superstar. In their second fight at UFC 257, ‘The Diamond’ got the better of McGregor winning the fight via a 2nd round TKO.
