Brazilian MMA fighter Caio Borralho is currently in a role in the middleweight division. However, more than his fighting skills, his looks have been the talk of the town. Borralho might move like a supreme athlete inside the Octagon, but his nerdy look outside spreads an important message for all. The Brazilian feels looks don’t play a vital role if you have the skills.

Caio Borralho was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 301 when he took on Paul Craig in a highly exciting clash. The Brazilian proved his brilliance once again and won the fight via knockout in the second round. During his post-fight press conference, he emphasized how his team, the Fighting Nerds, helps him during his preparation. While the name might not instill fear in the minds of many, their performances in indeed doing that. The team practically eats, sleeps, and breathes, fighting as a result they call themselves the ‘Nerds’.

Borralho, before making a move to MMA, was a chemistry and maths teacher at the age of 15 and is now using his intellect to knock out his opponents. However, he is more focused on sending a message to all such nerds out there who are finding it tough to stand up for themselves.

During a recent interview with ESPN, he shared an important message and said, “There’s a message for all the people who have been bullied around the world. Some kids wear glasses but don’t like to because they feel they are ugly. Imagine [what it is like] to see the best fighters in the world kicking the s— out of people and are proud to wear their glasses?”

The Brazilian looks nowhere close to the stereotypical nerd due to his 6-foot-2 frame and also because of the “Free Spirit” tattooed across his neck. However, during the post-fight interviews, he always makes sure that he wears the glasses taped in the middle to symbolize the nerds.
