Sean Strickland doesn’t shy away from demanding what he wants, and he wants a title shot now! Strickland has had an eventful year filled with ups and downs. In July of 2022, he faced Alex Pereira after being on a 6-fight-win streak, for a title shot against Israel Adesanya.

However, Peirera knocked him out and took that opportunity instead. To make situations tougher, Strickland lost his very next fight against Jared Cannonier via a controversial split decision. However, Tarzan was able to return back to winning ways after the now-11th-ranked Nassourdine Imavov.

Recently, he faced the unranked but exceptionally hyped opponent Abusupiyan Magomedov. Strickland finished his opponent within 2 rounds and made a strong statement with his dominant victory. What is his next step? Well, he wants a shot at the gold!

Fans react as Sean Strickland demands a middleweight title shot

Just after his victory, Strickland was very vocal about the fact that he wanted a title shot. He demanded it in his post-fight interview and took a jibe at Israel Adesanya by calling him a “Chinese champion”. It was a playful shot at Adesanya’s kickboxing days in China.

When asked about his plans for a title shot in the post-fight interview, Tarzan had a clear message. “It needs to happen. We know Izzy is on repeat. Give me the f*cking title, I earned it. I paid my dues, give me that sh*t.” However, fans were not very sure of this demand. Here are some of the fan reactions –
