Alexandre Pantoja will be looking to continue his 5-fight win streak at UFC 301 against Steve Erceg. The Brazilian fighter’s story is an inspiring tale of perseverance and resolve as he has made his way to the top of the UFC’s flyweight division after having to work as an Uber Eats driver to provide for his family.
As such, Pantoja has been using the song, ‘Many Men (Wish Death) by rapper 50 Cent since his UFC debut to hype him up as he makes the walk to the Octagon. The song’s lyrics feature the lines, “Some days wouldn’t be special, if it wasn’t for rain… Joy wouldn’t feel so good, if it wasn’t for pain…” reflecting the emotional journey ‘The Cannibal’ has had to endure to reach the spotlight of the UFC.
His opponent, Steve Erceg, is also anticipated to walk out to the song, ‘You Don’t Mess Around With Jim’ by Jim Croce from his 1972 album that has the same name. Erceg has previously used this tune in his UFC 289 debut against David Dvorak, and it is highly likely he’ll stick to the same at UFC 301.

Jose Aldo, the returning legend at UFC 301, may also choose to continue his tradition of making his way to the Octagon as ‘Run This Town’ by Jay Z featuring Rihanna and Kanye West plays in the arena. This event will be Aldo’s first fight in the UFC ever since he stepped away from the sport after a loss against Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 278 in 2022.
However, his opponent Jonathan Martinez, has been known to switch things up in his choice of walk-out music. For his UFC Vegas 81 bout in 2023 against Adrian Yanez, Martinez walked out to ‘El Papa de los Pollitos’ by Los Tucanes De Tijuana. But he has also used ‘Have You Ever Seen The Rain?’ by Creedence Clearwater Revival in the past, as such, it remains to be seen which tune he picks for UFC 301!
