Recently, Rogan has once again touched upon the subject, predicting a concerning future where technology will be the end of entertainment. He fears that the fun and excitement will be demolished, leaving a void of blandness and uniformity.

Joe Rogan predicts a concerning future

During episode #1984, Joe Rogan sat down with fellow comedian Brian Redban. While discussing a number of topics, the duo ended up talking about the fast pace of technological growth. As they delved deeper into the subject, the 55-year-old painted a picture of how the situation has transitioned from his generation to the next and how it will continue to do so in the future.

He described, “We are the last of the Mohicans. Because we are the people that grew up without the internet and then had the internet when we were adults. And now we are seeing kids grow up, with the internet. And then, then there’s going to be the next thing, and we are going to be the people that went through the whole thing together. Where everybody from the future is just going to be some weird cyborg.”

Rogan continued to paint a bleak picture for listeners, stating that if technology’s influence continues to overpower the human aspect, the coming time will be a nightmare.

The podcast host stated, “That’s where comedy is going to die. That’s where fun’s going to die. No more entertainment. Everyone’s just locked into the matrix.”

Joe Rogan has an appreciation for all that technology has achieved so far and acknowledges its potential for further advancements. However, his concern with AI leading a dystopian future, where entertainment and fun are nonexistent, is understandable owing to the fact that he is a true artist at heart and can’t see this element of humans fade away.
