Ciryl Gane, the French UFC Heavyweight, is fresh off a dominating victory against Sergey Spivak. At the UFC Fight Night in Paris, Gane took over the reins, beating the ‘Polar Bear’ by a TKO in the second round. Gane seemed to look impressive over Spivak, who was unable to check Gane’s body blows towards the second half of the round. While Spivak did attempt to counter, he already seemed to be worn out by the onslaught.
Gane met Spivak with a barrage of unimpeded blows, seeing himself on top at the end of the fight. Gane, who was formerly the Champion of his division, previously lost to Jon Jones, the current UFC Heavyweight Champion. Now Jones has a fight against the former two-time Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic. But now fans are speculating whether the backup for the fight, Sergei Pavlovich has a shot at the title.

After his fight, Ciryl Gane was interviewed, where he shared his thoughts on Pavlovich’s chances at the title. The reporter asked, “You got Sergei Pavlovich who’s gonna be the backup fighter for the main event. So if either Miocic or Jones is gonna fall out then he’s gonna jump in. But it also means that most likely he’s gonna get the title shot first cause that’s happened with other backup fighters.”
Gane checked these comments in his response. According to him, things in the Heavyweight division aren’t that easy. He said, “We will see. That’s not really easy in this division. You have a lot of good fighter. You have a big movement. Maybe we’re maybe gonna retire after the fight of November, Stipe and Jones. So we will see. Everything is possible.” Based on ‘Bon Gamin’s evaluation, the Russian heavyweight might have to wait for a bit longer.

The Heavyweight continued, “Because I did some mistake for the belt, but now I want to prove I stay here. So my rise, it’ll go up.” As Gane hopes to be back in the running for a title, fans have another spectacle on their hands. Stipe Miocic ‘The Silencer’ will fight ‘Bones’ for the UFC Heavyweight title on November 12. With Pavlovich announced as the backup for the UFC 295 bout, fans will have to wait and see if ‘Bon Gamin’s predictions are toppled or not.
