Octagon legend Robbie Lawler went out on top at UFC 290. In the final fight of the prelims of the night, Lawler knocked out Niko Price just seconds into the fight- a fitting farewell for a former champion.

UFC 290 was Robbie Lawler’s swan song. He made his final MMA walk under the bright lights of the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It was the former welterweight champion’s 25th fight under the promotion. His journey with the UFC started all the way back in 2002 and has finally come to a close 21 years later.

Lawler had lost four out of his last five bouts, coming into UFC 290. However, he got the storybook ending to a legendary career with a knockout just 38 seconds into the fight. ‘Ruthless’ seemed like he could not miss a punch as his left hand found the mark multiple times in the clinch.
