Gable Steveson is one of the most talented fighters in combat sports right now. Steveson is a world-renowned wrestler and won the Olympic gold at the Tokyo Olympics. The fighter is also a reigning Pan American Continental champion and was a three-time age-group world champion.

Due to Steveson’s incredible achievements and popularity, many people have been talking about what the fighter will do next. Many people believed that Steveson can join a promotion like the UFC. Recently when talking about the same UFC legend and former Olympic medalist Henry Cejudo talked about the same.

Cejudo even went on to say that he believes that with proper training, Steveson can even defeat the likes of Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones in 2 years’ time. Now finally UFC President Dana White has responded to Cejudo’s comments.

During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Dana talked about the same. He said, “Interesting, that’s a pretty bal*sy statement, I’ll call it. You’re talking about 2 guys. Jon Jones obviously a legend, one of the greatest of all time, undefeated never been beaten. But Jon Jones is getting older too, so ya interesting.”

While there is no doubt that Steveson is amongst the very best in the world in wrestling. MMA is still quite different and Jon Jones and Ngannou have been doing that for a lot longer than Steveson. Add to that the fact that both Jones and Ngannou are amongst the absolute best fighters in the UFC and you can see why White thinks Cejudo’s opinion is interesting.

Is there a chance of Gable Steveson joining the UFC?

While many people believed that there is a possibility that Steveson might join the UFC. This is not likely to happen as a deal between the WWE and Steveson has almost been confirmed.

Therefore, it is safe to say that we may not see Steveson fighting Jones or Ngannou anytime soon. However, there is a high probability that Steveson joins the UFC sometime in the future. When that happens, it would be interesting to see Steveson fight Jones or Ngannou.
