Starting from the year 2023, UFC now has a sister league. The league is called ‘Power Slap’. As the name suggests, the competitors have to slap their opponents on a turn basis. UFC’s very own president produced the show. However, Dana White does not run the promotion, since handling the UFC itself is a tedious job. So, instead, the ‘Slap Fighting Championship’ has its own president to take care of it. This particular sport does not have a deep-rooted history. Hence, people have found various reasons to troll the league itself. Although through various sources across the internet, we can witness that apart from ‘Power Slap’, there are several other slap-fighting leagues. Given the popularity of the people associated with this new league, it is getting special notice in terms of criticism as well.
In a recent interview, Frank Lamicella, Power Slap’s president, appeared and talked about the league. The host asked the enthusiastic president several questions. Amidst everything, Lamicella told his host why his league should not be getting as much criticism as other slap-fighting competitors. He mentioned every reason why this new league is a much safer league.

“Romanian Slap League, a guy getting hit 10 times. No one called — that would never happen here because we did the right thing and got this regulated and approved by the commission,” the president proudly advanced with the statement. The reason why this was safe was that they had to write the rules from the scratch. The athletic commission sat in meetings with the founders of ‘Power Slap’ to develop a set of rules that are not barbaric in nature.
Will SFC grow as big as Dana White’s UFC?
When it comes to handling promotions, White cannot be turned down. The man has presided over UFC for quite a long time now and the league has only seen upsides since then. Even though this new league is not being handled by Dana White himself, the 53-year-old has made sure that the league’s management goes into safe hands. “Just like the NFL and UFC improve its rules, there will be changes,” explained Lamicella in the interview.
