Former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw recently said he doesn’t see striking phenom Sean O’Malley as a champion of his division. Dillashaw pointed out that ‘Suga’ has holes in his game. Chael Sonnen has since come in O’Malley’s defense.
In fact, Sonnen wanted O’Malley to grapple with either Dillashaw or Dominick Cruz in his Submission Underground show. But ‘Suga’ revealed that both men turned down the opportunity to do so. “He [Sonnen] said you wanna grapple with TJ, Dominick. I said either, that’d be great. But they both kind of didn’t want that match,” said O’Malley.

“So, what he said I have holes in my game. I don’t know if he didn’t actually mean that. He just didn’t know what to say. I am not gonna be champion, I have holes in my game. That was something very stupid to say and he was like yeah, it didn’t make sense,” said O’Malley about Dillashaw’s comments.
“But yeah, I mean what do you mean I have holes in my game? Doesn’t make sense,” he added further dismissing the former champion’s opinions.
