Alexander Volkanovski seems to have recovered from COVID. The UFC champion recently tweeted about how he is all good now. He also warned people about not taking the virus seriously.

Volkanovski was all set to face Brian Ortega at the UFC 260 co-main-event, but the fight had to be canceled as the champ tested positive for the Coronavirus.
COVID-19 has affected the whole world, and the pandemic is something that should not be taken lightly. The UFC champion suffered from the disease and has urged people to take precautions and not take this virus as a joke.
Alexander Volkanovski talked about testing positive
Late last month Volkanovski wrote a message to his fans, informing them of the situation. Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanovski was really sad about the situation and wrote about the same.
“So devastated to share that I’ve tested positive for Covid-19 and my fight is off and will be rescheduled. I tested negative leaving Australia, negative before entering the UFC bubble but my latest test was positive.
“We worked so hard getting ready for this fight and I’m absolutely gutted this has happened. We followed every policy and process to remain covid free but It wasn’t meant to be this time.”

When The Great’s fans got the news of him testing positive, people from all around the world wished the champ for a speedy recovery. Volkanovski was pleased to get all the wishes and thanked everyone for the same.
“Thanks to everyone here in the States for your support since arriving and to everyone back home and around the world for your positive messages. To my fans, I’m certain that I’ll be bouncing back stronger than ever before,” he wrote.

What next for the Featherweight Champion?
Because of COVID-19, the match between Ortega and Volkanovski could not happen, and as of now no new date for the fight has been finalized.
Although the two fighters have agreed to lead their own TUF squads, the fighters will be part of the 29th edition of the reality show.
