As the world sees leaps and bounds in technological advancements, so do online threats. In this era of NFT and Bitcoin scams, social media accounts still aren’t safe from the clutches of hackers. The move saw the fighter unintentionally “advertising” a fake promotional offer to his fans, which left fans in splits.
In a post on X, the Featherweight’s hacked account wrote, “Hello twitter family! I have a special promotion going on! I have 10 MacBook Pro’s on sale for $600 each! On top of that I will be signing every MacBook that is sold, also free shipping is included! All proceeds will be going to charity! My DMs are opened! @StJude“. In the emotional video, ‘Blessed’ shared information regarding relief efforts and his dissatisfaction with the government’s inaction.
