UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has had a quick rise in the sport of MMA. Having already defended his title multiple times, it seems to some as if Adesanya will clear the entire division. Although, over the last two years, a new contender, Khamzat Chimaev, has risen. Recently, on his podcast, Mike Tyson spoke to Adesanya and told him why he thinks Chimaev is the perfect opponent for him.

This saga first started when Khamzat Chimaev called out Israel Adesanya. Chimaev said, “Easy money for me, 0 wrestling. 1 round I’m gonna kill him” Reacting to this, UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya said, “I want some fresh blood. He is fresh blood…I love what he is doing at 170″

That’s when Mike Tyson interrupted Adesanya and said, “This is what you need. You need fresh blood. You need the guy who people think can beat you.” Adesanya replied, saying, “Exactly. People do.”

While Adesanya speaks of wanting fresh blood, there have been rumors of Chimaev fighting at welterweight. It is reported that ‘The Borz’ will fight a huge welterweight star.

Khamzat Chimaev rumored to fight Nate Diaz

‘The Borz’ since his debut has been on an absolute tear in both the Welterweight and the Middleweight division. Chimaev has won all his five fights in the UFC, taking his record to 11-0.

In his last fight, Chimaev faced fellow welterweight contender Gilbert Burns in a fight many believed to be the fight of the year. In a back-and-forth contest, Chimaev earned a decision victory over the Brazilian.

Since then, fans have been wondering whom Chimaev will fight next. A leaked image from the UFC war room suggested that ‘The Borz’ will be fighting Nate Diaz in his next fight.

The two fighters have constantly taken shots at each other on social media. Stylistically, this fight will be a treat for the fans. While Chimaev has decent striking and great grappling, fans know the Stockton-born fighter for his boxing and his grappling.
