When Alex Pereira separated from his ex-fiancée, Merle Christine, it created a lot of noise and both individuals didn’t back down from taking shots at each in public. They gave their own versions for the reason why they broke up, and shortly after, the drama subsided and no one talked about it anymore. But after Pereira dropped the belt at UFC 313, Christine shared a video on social media, mocking her ex-partner for facing defeat.
Merle Christine, prior to UFC 313, even made a prediction for the main event, but that was not when she took a dig at Alex Pereira. After the PPV, in a short video, she claimed that her former partner losing on International Women’s Day was a sign of “karma” being served to the Brazilian star.
However, former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling believes that the jibe from ‘Poatan’s former partner was uncalled for and an unnecessary dig. But why? Well, ‘Aljo’ claims that the timing of Christine’s dig at Pereira wasn’t a good one despite the issues the former couple has between them.

“One of the things I saw was his, Alex Pereira’s ex-wife making a video like, ‘No more chama.’ I was like, ‘Yo, that’s foul, bro. That is foul,'” Aljamain Sterling stated in a video on his YouTube channel. “I mean, I don’t know the ins and outs of their relationship, but that’s so, like… I feel like the wrong place. Maybe for her, it’s just a petty wap. I don’t know, but damn, that’s cold-blooded.”
