What do fighters do after a 5-round war and walking away from the Octagon with a broken nose? Well, if you’re Sean Strickland, this is the perfect time to go snowboarding! Fresh off his loss to middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 312, ‘Tarzan’ decided to swap his training gloves for a snowboard.

But instead of carving through the snow like a pro, Strickland went full send—and paid the price. In a video uploaded on his Instagram account, the former middleweight champion attempts what looks like a rail grind before disaster struck.

Strickland lost control and crashed hard and came to a rolling stop in the snow. Lying on his back, clearly rattled but refusing to admit defeat, Strickland yells out, “F—- you,” to the person filming, who casually asks while laughing at the scene that just unfolded, “Where are we, what are we doing?”

If that wasn’t enough, the UFC brawler doubled down with a brutal self-assessment with the caption that read, “Nice face plant with a broken nose lol.” Later, he added another gem, displaying his bloodied face on his Instagram story with the words, “Ohh the goggles. That hurt lol.”

And the fans? Well, let’s just say they had a field day with Sean Strickland’s snowboarding shenanigans. Here’s a look at what the internet had to say!

“still can’t defend his face… smh”

Social media personality, Nina Marie Daniele, who Strickland has dubbed “like a little sister” to him, did what siblings do best. Throw jabs at the fact that doctor’s orders? Ignored. Common sense? Nonexistent. But that’s ‘Tarzan’ in a nutshell, never one to back down, even when it’s painfully obvious he should.

“@ninamariedaniele: Dr: Make sure you go easy on your nose. No extreme sports or mma for a month  Sean: I’m a man!!! F— YOU!!!!”

Other fans gave Strickland credit for following an unspoken rule of extreme sports. If you commit, you commit fully. No hesitation. No second-guessing. And to his credit, Strickland went all-in. Sure, he crashed and burned, but at least he went down swinging!

“Respect the send”

Referencing ‘Tarzan’s pre-fight proclamations, some joked that he’s now taking the warrior mentality to the mountains, where the snow and gravity are his latest opponents.

“He’s going to war on the slopes for us guys”

Strickland has also had his fair share of critics who call his fighting style methodical, some might even say boring. His wild snowboarding crash, however, was anything but for the fans!
