Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of attention on Garry’s private life and his relationship with his wife Layla within the MMA community. “I’ve had death threats, bombings, people wanted to kill me after Brazil, I never turned off my social media, I never turned off my comments, look at that little Ian Garry, he’s turning off his comments like a little f***ing sensitive soy boy. You know he ain’t a tough- he ain’t the biggest and baddest f***ing fighter in the division, the guy’s a f***ing joke, he’s a little f***ing kid so, I don’t really have anything to say to him,” said Colby Covington.
Garry’s hardships seemingly have only started and are not limited to Covington. The fighter has also previously engaged in a feud with the middleweight champion Sean Strickland.

Sean Strickland was embroiled in a heated exchange simply for being his usual self. He passed a remark about Garry’s significant other, who had authored a contentious book detailing her experiences as a partner to athletes. This innocuous comment triggered a series of events, with Garry sending Strickland a text and now gearing up for a physical confrontation.
“Ian Garry’s wife is a SE*UAL PREDATOR……. She sought out a young athlete to seduce because she’s getting old and still wanted to be famous.. No buddy of fame wanted you so you preyed on a kid… You are and will forever be known as a succubus…” Sean Strickland tweeted about Garry’s wife.
