UFC President Dana White was fuming after the DWCS season 6 inaugural week. The Tuesday night’s fights were not high-paced, action-packed contests. And White even had former UFC owner and friend Lorenzo Fertitta with him to watch the event, which added insult to injury. However, in the press conference, the veteran promoter got an idea to tackle the situation in an ‘unprofessional’ manner.

Week 1, season 6 of Dana White’s Contender Series saw only one contract awarded to Joe Pyfer. The 52-year-old promoter didn’t even properly announce who received the contract, which he usually does in an interview with UFC announcer Laura Sanko. However, this time, he left the interview abruptly.
In the post-fight press conference, White addressed the lackluster event. Further, he offered how he was excited to show the event to Lorenzo Fertitta. Amidst all the questions about the event, White was informed about a Russian promoter stopping a fight midway because it was ‘boring’.
The UFC President had quite a reaction after getting the news. White said, “That is f***ing awesome. That’s props to that guy. Yes, highly incredibly unprofessional but f***ing awesome at the same time.”
White confirmed if the fight was actually boring and added, “Well, that gives me some f***ing ideas for next Tuesday.”
“Believe me, there’ve been days that I’ve wanted to throw a chair in there, but yeah, you just got to sit there and take it or get and go to the back and sit in your room,” said White and offered ACA promoter should’ve taken one of these routes. Nonetheless, White appreciated his actions.
What was the incident Dana White referred to?
One media member informed White about the recent event that took place in Russia. Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA), a Russian promotion, had a shocking moment at their ACA 141 event. The co-main event of the night was a lackluster fight for as long as it lasted.

The fight saw a weird stoppage. It didn’t come from the ref, doctor, or corners. The promoter stopped the fight because of inactivity. Both fighters got disqualified. The official result was a no contest.
