56-year-old Joe Rogan released the recent episode of his famous JRE podcast. After successfully commentating at UFC  302, Rogan is back to doing what he does best. Known for his ability to bring in personalities from diverse fields, he, this time, invited Harland Williams for a chat. Williams is an actor and stand-up comedian while also being the host of ‘The Harland Highway’ project. This time, Rogan shifted his focus toward the late legendary comedian, Robin Williams. While speaking to the ‘Half Baked’ star, the JRE host made some controversial revelations about the late comedian.

Known for his improvisational skills, Robin Williams was a legendary figure in the world of comedy. Williams received many accolades in his journey, which included an Academy Award along with five Grammy Awards and six Golden Globe Awards. However, it seems he did have a few shares of problems on his journey. Rumors suggest that the legendary comedian used to copy from his fellow comedians during his shows. This is what exactly Rogan and his guest discussed on the show. Speaking on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience #2158’, Rogan said, “I heard a lot of stories that he was that guy.”

He added as to how Williams (Robin) would say other people’s stuff so that he doesn’t have to say his own. Intrigued by all such claims, Harland questioned him, “With him do you think cuz he was just so spontaneous he would just like puke it out? “. Rogan being Rogan always has an answer for everything and this time also, he had one. The JRE host claimed, “No way. I think he wanted to kill more than he wanted to be ethical at any cost. Specially back then, when no one was really watching you other than comedians.”

Rogan recently commentated at the UFC 302 event and witnessed one of the best fights in the lightweight division. The 56-year-old saw Islam Makhachev defeating an in-form Dustin Poirier in one of the toughest fights of his career. Such was the impact made by the Dagestani fighter that the JRE host termed him better than Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Joe Rogan heaped praise on Islam Makhachev after his UFC 302 heroics

32-year-old Islam Makhachev reminded the world how good he is after his UFC 302 fight. He not only defended his title but also won his fourteenth consecutive fight in the UFC. The battle went till the fifth round and Poirier matched the Dagestani fighter toe to toe. However, his wrestling skills were too tough to handle for the 35-year-old and he lost the battle via a D’arce Choke in the fifth round. His impressive performance forced Rogan to believe that he was better than his coach and mentor, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

‘The Eagle’ before retiring from the sport held a perfect record of 29-0 and is considered as the greatest. However, it now seems that Makhachev is slowly taking away his legacy and his biggest fan at the moment is Joe Rogan. The JRE host, after the fight, said, “Finishing off with that D’arce choke is absolutely gorgeous. Just beautiful technique. He’s so complete. He’s complete everywhere.” Rogan added, “Khabib was always this smothering grappler… this ruthless ground-and-pound submission artist, but Islam knocks guys out, standing. The head kick to Volkanovski speaks to that.”

Islam Makhachev is without a doubt one of the biggest names in the UFC at the moment. However, he is constantly compared with ‘The Eagle’ and is now eyeing a second belt in the promotion. Can he become a two-division champion next in his career? Let us know in the comments below.
