“Tell Us Another Jackal Story”- Fans React to the ‘Haram’ Back and Forth Between Khamzat Chimaev and Shavkat Rakhmonov

Promising UFC contenders Khamzat Chimaev and Shavkat Rakhmonov seem to be at each other’s throats. The pair have been exchanging jibes on social media and the fans could not be more excited. Both Rakhmonov and Chimaev are undefeated welterweight prospects. Although Dana White said Chimaev’s next fight will be in the middleweight division, the Chechen fighter still has his sights set on top welterweight contenders.

Meanwhile, Rakhmonov has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the 170 lbs division. The Uzbekistan-born fighter most recently had an impressive outing at UFC 285 where he submitted Geoff Neal. Ever since his rise in the division, fans have been fantasizing about a fight between ‘Borz’ and ‘The Nomad.’

Rakhmonov recently took a shot at Chimaev with an Instagram post. He posted a picture of himself in wolf fur attire and wrote, “When someone calls themselves a wolf.”

In response, Chimaev shared another IG post and retorted at Rakhmonov in the caption. The 28-year-old wrote, “To be called a wolf is more honored than to be a jackal in life.”

Fans took notice of the tension between the two stars. They had quite a few responses for the welterweights as well.

Both Chimaev and Rakhmonov are highly rated undefeated prospects. Many consider the 28-year-olds to be championship-caliber fighters as well. However, Chimaev’s weight-cut issues could throw a wrench in a match-up between the pair.
