Is Israel Adesanya's involvement in Hooker's tactics a sign of genius or poor sportsmanship?

Back in June, Dan Hooker made a very startling confession, what’s that? Well, ‘Hangman claimed that he would be clashing against Charles Oliveira next, “You can officially kiss my *ss I’m fighting Charlie olives.” The entire UFC community was dumbfounded by the confession as the fight didn’t make sense considering the fact that Oliveira is next in the line for the lightweight title after Arman Tsarukyan. Well, this confession by Hooker was immediately disregarded by ‘Do Bronx’ as he took to X to remove the confusion, “People have been booking fights for me that I’m not aware of. Metaverse fights? Maybe.”

When the journalists asked the fighter whether his confession about fighting Oliveria was a facade, Dan Hooker claimed that he made it in the heat of the moment, “Oh, well, I was actually—um—they flew me over to do Volk shows there, like a show they do, like the Volk Sports show. We were on the show, and then they asked if Volk had anything coming up, and he had to be like, “Nah, I got nothing coming up.” Then they asked me, “Do you have anything coming up?” I didn’t want to be boring, so I kind of just spun a bit of a yarn. I said, “Well, actually, I do have something to announce.”

After this statement, the journalist asked the fighter whether he was open to fighting Oliveira at some future date, to which he confessed, “Oh, yeah! That sounds good to me. It sounds good to all the fans. Why not? Why not.”

Will Dan Hooker fight the top stars of the promotion? Well, the fighter has been sidelined by the promotion after his fight against Islam Makhachev. In the last two years, Hooker has fought twice. Even his clash at UFC 305 was all thanks to Israel Adesanya’s referral. However, the fighter is looking to overturn it.

Let’s say ‘Hangman’ defeats Gamrot at UFC 305. Then, a huge set of opportunities opens up in front of him, and he knows it all too well. While having a conversation with Submission Radio, Dan Hooker emphasized that the other fighters will have to take him seriously after he defeats Gamrot, “A lot of the big names in the division are coming off losses, right? Like, it’s not a straightforward situation.Oliveira, Chandler, Gaethje, Poirier. Like, the biggest names in our division are all coming off losses. So, to then come in with a three-fight win streak, top five, like, now these other guys that I’ve been calling out for the longest periods of time are going to have to start calling [me out], because I’ve got something they want, which is a win streak.

A victory against Gamrot might put Hooker on the radar of the top brass of the division. Regardless, whats your take on the situation? State your thoughts in the comments below.
