Is Conor McGregor's trash talk just for show, or does he genuinely believe he's still the best?

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler simply can’t stay calm on social media. The rivals have yet again started a war on X with insults hurtling like cannonballs. However, this time, the battle dragged in the former President of the United States, Donald Trump, into the conversation. ‘Iron’ lashed out at McGregor, and it was to be expected. However, the Dagestani team wasn’t too far behind to take aim at the Irishman, as he badmouthed the ex-POTUS.

Wondering about all the drama surrounding the former UFC double champion? Let’s get right into it!

Chandler took to X and reminded McGregor of their matchup. The fight between Chandler and McGregor had the entire world of mixed martial arts in the seventh heaven of excitement. But alas! It was a broken pinky toe that sent the world into a rollercoaster ride of disappointment. ‘Iron’ tweeted, “Stop it…@TheNotoriousMMA . If you had half the b**ls that DT had you would have shown up June 29th. Instead you’re normal walking, beer chuggin’ Austin 3:16 style at a local fight show/motorcycle rally in South Dakota, a RED, 100% #maga state by the way.”

But what did the ‘Mystic Mac’ quote that enraged Chandler? ‘The Notorious’ just happened to badmouth Trump. In a response to Chandler’s text, he tweeted, “Bro he doesn’t even know who the f*** you are lol. He probably thinks you are a little broke begging a**ewipe” But that wasn’t the only thing that the Irish fighter threw at Trump.

The drama began when McGregor stumbled upon a clip of the ex-POTUS declaring that his favorite UFC fighter was Khabib Nurmagomedov, ‘The Notorious’ couldn’t control his rage. He simply wanted Trump to choose an American mixed martial artist as his favorite, instead of a Dagestani star. He wrote, “Campaign ending decision. A smelly fat mountain monkey from the inbred mountains of Dagestan is your favorite UFC (AMERICAN COMPANY) fighter? Wow. Abysmal.”

Needless to say, Team Khabib wasn’t one to keep quiet. The drama indeed reignited the cold war between Nurmagomedov and McGregor. Ali Abdelaziz, the manager of the Dagestani team, swooped in to defend the former president. He wrote, “How dare you talk about President Trump? Nobody gives a flying f**k what you have to say, this man is loved by everyone in the whole entire world.”

But Abdelaziz wasn’t done there. He went ahead and tried to convince the Irish mixed martial artist why Nurmagomedov deserved the respect he received from the ex-POTUS. The manager pointed out that it wasn’t just Trump who respected ‘The Eagle’. Various other leaders also shared the same opinion.

Abdelaziz tweeted, “Listen, Khabib is a man who is embraced by many world leaders, Kings and Sheikhs and they all have the most respect for him. People like you make the world divide and create a lot of hate. You’ll pay for everything you said, calling people monkey shows what kind of class you have”
