Very few fighters in the UFC have impressed the fans the way Magomedov has. Despite loss of vision in one eye, the Russian has no shortcomings in his game. While he showed excellent wrestling skills in his last fight, he also proved he had good knockout power. However, he seems to be desperate to improve his game further and wants to train under Mendez.

In his post-fight interview, Magomedov made it clear that he has immense respect for Mendez as a coach and if he gets an opportunity, he will definitely want to work under him.

“To be honest, Javier is a very decent and honorable man. A great person to be around. He is such a down-to-earth man. Not arrogant at all, he is great. Hopefully, someday I will have the privilege to train with him. He’s still there in Dubai. I follow him on Social Media,” Sharaputdin Magomedov said.

The Russian is currently unbeaten in the UFC and is slowly rising the ranks in the division. Despite being new to the UFC, he already has high hopes of making it big in the promotion. Magomedov has also called out Conor McGregor and wants to take him on in the middleweight division.

Probably no fighter in the UFC has the stardom of Conor McGregor. However, it now seems most fighters want to get into a fight with him. Magomedov certainly does. The Russian is fairly new in the division but still called out the former dual champion. McGregor previously showed interest in moving to the middleweight division and said, “No mess, I’d fancy it,”.

It seems the unbeaten Russian took notice of the message and has now called out the 35-year-old. He said, “Conor tweeted something about fighting at middleweight. I’m ready to welcome him because his weight class is full of dudes like me, so I’m ready to welcome him.”

Magomedov even went ahead and predicted what would happen in their clash. He is known for his wrestling skills and is confident of beating ‘Mystic Mac’. “Our first fight would be interesting for the viewers worldwide. He likes striking and hates Dagestani wrestling, so let’s go! I’m here; I can welcome him in the cage and show him what Dagestanis are capable of,” Magomedov said.
