Dana White was absolutely livid when Bryce Mitchell made some unexpected statements about the villain of World War II, Adolf Hitler. The featherweight star had put the infamous WWII personality in a rather positive light, which came back to haunt him. Despite that, the UFC CEO claimed that Mitchell can say whatever he wants, which is a sentiment that another big-time martial artist seems to share as well.

Given the horrific things that Adolf Hitler had done, Bryce Mitchell left no stone unturned in ticking off Dana White. While calling the 30-year-old a “moron” for the “dumb and ignorant” comments about Hitler, the UFC CEO blamed these kinds of acts on the platform that social media provides people with. Nevertheless, White has always been a proponent of ‘free speech’, and that’s what he claims Mitchell exercised when he made those statements.

Similarly, multiple-time ADCC champion Gordon Ryan joined the conversation, and while he did not necessarily side with Bryce Mitchell’s notion of Adolf Hitler, he backed Dana White when it came to free speech. “Free speech over all,” ‘The King’ stated on his Instagram stories.

Well, it is not a novel thing to see Gordon Ryan stand up for free speech because, in 2021, he took shots at Meta’s Instagram platform for apparently ‘shadowbanning’ for some of his unfiltered thoughts. “When ig deletes me for free speech I’ll hire someone to run my backup account,” Ryan stated over three years ago. Hence, he seems to have no problems with Bryce Micthell spewing some words, even though they may not be to his liking.

Well, this is not the first time Bryce Mitchell has made such a bizarre statement since he’s gained attention for statements of such nature in the past. As of now, he’s faced no consequences for it. However, a UFC insider believes that these statements are going to catch up to him.

UFC insider claims Bryce Mitchell could face a financial setback for his recent comments

Dana White may have refrained from punishing Bryce Mitchell, but UFC legend Chael Sonnen believes other parties could be asking the featherweight star some questions. During an interview with ‘MMA Junkie’, ‘The American Gangster’ claimed that the controversial remarks about Adolf Hitler are likely to anger the many sponsorships that Mitchell has and they are likely to cut ties with the Arkansas native.

“Please understand, there’s a checks and balances for these guys that run their mouth or say something bad or say something that’s really offensive,” stated Chael Sonnen. “There’s other things you can do, there’s checks and balances. Mark my words, he’s having calls from whatever sponsors he’s got, he doesn’t have them anymore. In the best case scenario, they all got frozen – in a best case scenario.”
