The fans will witness another chapter of Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya‘s rivalry unfold at the UFC 287. Both the fighters will once again roll back their heated rivalry that dates back to their kickboxing days. While the much-awaited rematch at Miami-Dande Arena on April 8 offers the Auckland native a chance at retribution, the Brazilian fighter eyes on strengthening his champion’s stature. Further, the middleweight champion, who is determined to make it 4-0, trains in mission mode to bury his opponent. The Sao Paulo fighter previously claimed the UFC gold in a come-from-back win. However, this time he targets dismantling his opponent inside the Octagon. He reflected the same in his latest cryptic message to ‘The Last Stylebender’.

Notably, the 35-year-old took to Instagram and posted his boxing sparring session. ‘Poatan’ started strong in the clip and pushed his partner to the ropes. What followed was a barrage of strong left-hand punches, with right punches mixed well in the combos. His opponent could only duck a few and faced the full brunt of the champion’s punches.

The 7-1 record holder alluded to the same fate his opponent might face when they’ll clash next. However, his caption attracted eyeballs as the fans figured out the message behind the caption.

Interestingly, he captioned, “22/07/1989  08/04/2023″

Markedly, the first date, as pointed out by many, was Adesanya’s birth date. And the second date, with a coffin emoji, is the date of their scheduled fourth fight. Therefore, it became easier to conjure the dotes and also the former Glory champion’s intentions going into the fight.

How did the fans react to the cryptic message?

While some fans pitted the sparring partner, others emphasized on the intent behind the message.

“Sir, you can’t post murders on Instagram”

“I would only go in if they gave me an armor and an AK47”
