Muhammad’s venture with P/C promises to donate 50% of their earnings to the PCRF. With statements like “Support the Struggle” and “Make Peace Not War” the MMA star is making some big moves. But did you know that his moniker was also a way of reminding the fight fans of his Palestinian heritage? Muhammad said, “When I think of ‘Remember The Name’, it symbolizes like, my name also, and also like Palestine. I never want to forget where I came from, forget where my family came from.”

The welterweight carries the Palestinian flag just to ensure that the world remembers his homeland when they see him. He claimed that his victory was Palestine’s victory. He revealed that they were successful in uniting two brothers and a father and his son. However, the MMA athlete was truly disheartened when he thought of the children he couldn’t reach yet.

Muhammad said, “They show, the Palestinian Children Relief Fund shows the results. We were able to bring two brothers, and then a father and his son back from Palestine four months ago. And you know, young dude is still living with us right now with my mom. She’s there every single day and seeing him smile, seeing him play with toys, it’s just… It honestly like breaks my heart, because now that he has opportunity, I know that there’s millions of kids in Palestine that don’t have that opportunity.”

If that one day, that one moment makes them forget about what they’re going through for 10, 15 minutes, that’s the least I could do.”
