Tabatha Ricci’s only loss in her MMA and UFC career
The Brazilian strawweight fighter was on a 5-fight winning streak before joining the UFC. She was a highly rated prospect when she joined Dana White‘s promotion in June 2021 at the age of 25. However, Tabatha Ricci did not expect to start her UFC career in the way that it did.
She suffered her first and only MMA loss on her debut against ‘The Beast’ Manon Fiorot, who also has only one loss in her entire MMA career, but is undefeated in the UFC.
Tabatha Ricci and Manon Fiorot locked horns at UFC Vegas 28 in a card that was headlined by Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Augusto Sakai. It is important to note that Ricci took the fight on 4 days’ notice. Meanwhile, ‘The Beast’ started strong and put the debutante on the back foot from the very first round. Ricci showed some good striking defense. However, she lost the fight in the second round after a barrage of strokes from Fiorot that forced the referee to stop the fight.

‘Baby Shark’ is currently on a 4-fight winning streak
The loss to Manon Fiorot might have brought a change in Tabatha Ricci’s approach as she went on to deliver some impressive performances after that fight. After fighting ‘The Beast’, she went on to fight Maria Oliveira and Polyana Viana. Ricci defeated both of them by securing unanimous decisions. Then she went on to win a fight by showcasing her grappling prowess.
