Daniel Cormier on why Jon Jones is undefeated

You’ll find no professional in the combat sports world who doesn’t know the sheer brilliance of Jon Jones. He has dominated multiple divisions and is the current and reigning heavyweight champion of the UFC. Recently, ‘DC’ sat down with Joe Rogan and spoke about why he is so difficult to win against.
“When you’re fighting guys like Jones, he’s so tall, he’s so rangy, and he just understood fighting,”  Cormier stated. “The guy just understands fighting and it makes him hard to deal with and then Joe when you get in a clinch with this dude, he’s so tall that it’s almost like you’re holding him up. If you’re the shorter fighter he’s like draping over the top of you and that is what fatigues you.”
Stamina is a key ingredient for a big victory. If Jones manages to tire out his opponent fast, that gives him an upper hand. He’s done it time and time again with his outstanding wrestling skills. Perhaps ‘DC’ had a taste of the same as him and Rogan spoke about it further.
“The dude just understands fighting and understands how to maneuver his body to fatigue you.” Cormier added and then Rogan mentioned his ability to maintain distance “he also is the best at managing distance,” to which Cormier wholeheartedly agreed.
There is another looming question around ‘Bones’. What happens to Jones’ heavyweight title with him out of the picture and in recovery?

Jones tore a pectoral tendon during sparring and everything went south. His match against Stipe Miocic was canceled and soon, someone started urging the UFC to make him vacate his title. That was none other than heavyweight fighter Tom Aspinall. But his calls didn’t fall on deaf ears, as Jones would soon respond with as much brutality as possible.
