Hasbulla Magomedov a.k.a ‘Mini Khabib’ has been one of the most adored personalities on the internet, with his charming smile and witty humor. However, recent events have tarnished his reputation. The Russian social media sensation was recently accused of animal abuse after a video surfaced online, showing him mistreating his pet cat. The video, which went viral, showed Hasbulla pulling his cat’s ear and hitting it while it rushed to its bed.
This act has led to a massive backlash against the 20-year-old Dagestani, with cancel culture taking aim at him. Despite the uproar, Hasbulla has released a defiant video explaining what really happened in the controversial clip. In the video, he made it clear that he loves his cat more than anything and would never abuse it in any way. He further stated that the accusations levied against him were baseless and not true to any extent. However, the upset fans are not having it.

Hasbulla has faced a torrent of negative comments and criticism in the aftermath of the video surfacing. Following the allegations of mistreating his pet cat, ‘Mini Khabib’ took to his Twitter to put an end to the chaos once and for all. In his post, he made it clear that he did not do anything the way it was being portrayed out there.
For everyone asking me without the full picture. 🐈❤️ pic.twitter.com/9FMmbaF4zc

Hasbulla said [according to the subtitle in the video], “Those brothers who think that I was beating the cat [and] pulled the ear, this and that. I pulled the ear gently. And I know that people are waiting for the moment, if I write something wrong, to just attack me like this. Like, ‘you do this, you do that’.”
Further diving into what actually went down in that clip with his cat, he stated, “She[Barsik, Hasbulla’s cat] was misbehaving and I just pulled the ear and that’s it. I love my cat more than you. If I didn’t love the cat, I wouldn’t have it at home. My most lovely animal is a cat. And when she disobeyed, I scolded her a little. And you are attacking me for nothing.”
Despite Hasbulla Magomedov’s quest to defend himself against the allegations of animal abuse, it seems that his efforts have fallen short as his fans are not willing to take his word on this one.
Fans are not in the mood to forgive
As ‘Mini Khabib’ went on to prove his innocence in regard to the allegations of mistreating his cat, the upset netizens aren’t willing to follow his words this time.
The only support he received here is from Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s manager, Ali Abdelaziz:
Don’t worry my brother❤️
— Ali Abdelaziz (@AliAbdelaziz00) March 31, 2023
This person was not ready to hear any justification:
Stop justifying your atrocities and victimizing yourself.😡 Do I really have to explain to you that you shouldn't hit them? Take care of them properly and if you are not going to do it, find him a family that truly loves him instead of abusing him in a cowardly and mean way!!😡

Another voice came in, echoing the same message:
It’s sad that we have to share this world with this kind of people. 😡
— CULE POR SIEMPRE (@Realcule10) March 31, 2023
This user schooled Hasbulla about the quintessential difference between cats and dogs:
Cats aren’t “obedient”. They’re not dogs. But they can still form very strong bonds with you. Physically harming them, even mildly out of disclipline, degrades that bond very quickly.
— Kommander Karl (@kommanderkarl) March 31, 2023
Amidst all the criticism, this fan came in with a reality check:
I hope you learned from this mistake. You are 20 now and are fully responsible for your choices. How you treat the defenseless is a reflection of the type of person you are.
— AL Capone (@AL_Capone_MMA) March 31, 2023
And this Twitter user had a rather distinctive response to Hasbulla’s justification:
If you have to justify beating at your cat and not feel slightly guilty about it that says more about you then us.
— KitKat 🔫🌿🔪 (@KaitTurtleKat) March 31, 2023
Another user who explains how to treat a cat:
Cats don’t understand obedience/scolding. You missed out the part where you smacked her, but pulling her ear was already over the line. Not being able to see any problem with this after all the hate says a lot about you and your compassion.
