Sean O’Malley has put an end to the claims made by Alexandre Pantoja. The bantamweight champion grew tired of hearing the stories the flyweight champion narrated about their sparring session, so he released the sparring footage from 2016 as proof. However, the fans did not seem to side with ‘Suga’ upon witnessing the video clip.
The 135-pound champ had earlier mentioned having knocked the wind out of Alexandre Pantoja with a shot to the liver, which the 125-pound champion refuted. They got into a back-and-forth for a while, but now, Sean O’Malley decided to post an instance from their sparring session, where he shut down Pantoja with a body kick. The video clip, which lasted only a few seconds, showed the flyweight champion trying to stay on his feet even after getting hit with a brutal body kick. He tried, but he failed and ultimately had to take a time-out.

Sean O’Malley mentioned in the post that he dropped Pantoja in the very first round. The fact that he posted this video could be due to ‘The Cannibal’, who brought up the topic of the sparring session during the UFC 301 fight week. Or else, it could have been O’Malley’s way of shutting down the flyweight champ. Either way, fans did not seem to like this act by ‘Suga’ and they blasted him on X.

Sean O’Malley must have thought that this video clip would end the argument about the sparring session with Alexandre Pantoja, but it backfired. First of all, some fans found the video to be doctored. They do not feel like it tells the whole story and they even demanded the whole version of the footage. One X user commented, “Nice photoshop bro,” while the other stated, “Post the whole footage lil bro stop cutting clips to make yourself look better.”
Some fans claimed that Sean O’Malley went too far trying to prove his point. “Posting private sparring footage to prove a point is disgusting.” On the other hand, they suggested that he should try landing body kicks on bantamweight fighters. “Do this to a 135er and I’ll be impressed.” They even declared that he could never land such a strike at someone like Merab Dvalishvili. “You ain’t doing that to Merab though lil bro.”
Nevertheless, the bantamweight champion found some support from his fans, one of whom warned Alexandre Pantoja to stay away from Sean O’Malley. He wrote, “Stop playing Panto or you can get it too!!” On the other hand, one X user suggested that O’Malley should go down to 125 lbs to fight for a double champion status. “Chop off a limb and go down to FLW to fight him again for double champ.”

Now, the question we have is: How is Alexandre Pantoja going to react here? Is he going to go on a rant about Sean O’Malley or is he going to challenge him for the 135-pound strap? We will have to wait and see how this story develops.
