Conor McGregor is returning at 170 pounds next month against Michael Chandler. With that confirmation done, a former lightweight champion, Rafael Dos Anjos, has also claimed to have made up his mind for a welterweight move. As soon as the fans got word about it, they rained down with jibes at the former champion on social media.

Rafael Dos Anjos’s recent record hasn’t been a pleasant one. The Brazilian-American has lost on back-to-back occasions and demanded that 155-pounders stop calling him out for a fight. “Get me out of LW rankings. For you LW out there calling me out I don’t compete at LW now on,” Dos Anjos stated on X. Having won the lightweight title once, Rafael Dos Anjos claims that his business in that division is done.

Now, he has sights on a few fights in the welterweight division because he currently weighs between the middleweight and light heavyweight limit. As such, the 39-year-old demands that the UFC matchmakers give him a fight this summer. “I have nothing to prove to nobody, I walk around 195 at 39 years old. There’s lots of fights that make sense to me at 170. I want to fight in July [UFC] get me back in that octagon,” Rafael Dos Anjos added.

The fans believe that Rafael Dos Anjos can’t get the job done anymore as a 155-er. A couple of them pointed out the Brazilian-American’s previous loss to Mateusz Gamrot, to whom he lost via a unanimous decision. One fan said, “Bros mad he got beat by gamrot and you know what I would be too he whooped that boy so hard on the feet,” and another said, “Buddy you just got schooled by Gamrot shut uo.”

On the other hand, the fans claim that he hasn’t forgotten what Conor McGregor told him during the UFC 205 pressers. As such, they believe he could be looking for the ‘red panty night’. “Still chasing that Conor fight dude you are a lightweight.” Meanwhile, some fans wanted to see Dos Anjos fight McGregor’s former rival, Nate Diaz“RDA and Nick Diaz let’s go.”

Having claimed that he’s 39 years old now, fans think that Colby Covington could pop up from somewhere and challenge Rafael Dos Anjos next. One fan stated, “39 years old coming off of a loss….. Here comes the Colby Covington call out.” However, if Dos Anjos is hellbent on making the welterweight move, fans also ideated that he could fight Joaquin Buckley, who made an unrealistic callout to Conor McGregor after his win over Nursulton Ruziboev. “I’d say a fair match up is RDA vs Buckley.” Meanwhile, one Instagram user also believes that the former champion isn’t sure what he wants to do next. “Dude can’t make up his mind”
