Most UFC fans will probably agree with the fact that Joe Rogan sets an example of fit and healthy living even at 56 years of age. Apart from boasting massive fame in multiple fields, Rogan is also a lifelong martial artist. Although he never went professional, the famed comedian learned about the advantages of working out at an early age. But we all may know that the diet of an individual plays an equally important role in their well-being.

Being a martial artist, Rogan is also well aware of the effects of a person’s diet on their health. But, while some noted UFC fighters like Nate Diaz choose to go on a strict vegan diet, Rogan stands in stout distinction. In a recent episode of his noted podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, the former Fear Factor gave out a few advantages of maintaining a carnivore diet like himself. But as he mentioned himself, the 56-year-old sometimes gets into trouble with a few processed foodstuffs of his choice.

Most ‘JRE’ fans might already know about Rogan’s love for Pasta. Despite having an affinity for it, the UFC color commentator opined that the general population consumes too much sugar” and “processed bulls*it” which includes pasta as well. He also detailed how his “carnivore diet” was a lot better than having all of those processed foodstuffs. Rogan said, “The interesting thing about the carnivore diet is you can’t overeat”. But almost every person with senses knows that overeating can have severe effects on an individual’s health. Despite maintaining a strict routine for healthy living, Rogan also pulled up a situation where even he would let himself loose. The ‘JRE’ host said, But if that 16-ounce steak was sitting next to a bowl of pasta, I would eat the pasta too”.

Rogan also mentioned how he would “still eat it [the pasta]”, even if he was “full” after a carnivore diet. Most fans might agree with the former martial artist’s next point when he stated that it’s the “reward from those carbs and the flavors” that makes it hard to resist these processed foods. Apparently, they often make individuals overeat, thereby leading to health issues.
