During his commentary gig, UFC commentator Joe Rogan can be heard breaking down professional cage fighters’ techniques for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. While fans love him for the excellent work that he has done for the growth of mixed martial arts, they also respect his outside the Octagon opinions. The Joe Rogan Experience podcast ruling the Spotify charts proves it. And Rogan’s conversation with Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner on the JRE episode #1877 was a prime reflection of it.

The founder, co-editor, and publisher of ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine, Wenner brought up a point that Rogan completely opposed and gave some strong reasons for it.
Joe Rogan dismissed the idea of leaving the Internet in the government’s hands
The 76-year-old guest supported the regulation of the internet which took the Spotify podcaster by surprise.
The JRE host said, “You trust the people that got us into the Iraq War under false pretenses to regulate the internet? Do you think that makes any sense?”
Wenner responded, “Well, wait a minute I would not, the people who got us into the Iraq war…”
Rogan interrupted and said, “It was the government.”
Wenner continued, “It was the politicians.”
The 55-year-old again said, “it’s the government.”
The guest came to an agreement but wondered, “Then who else is gonna regulate [the internet]?”
Over 90% of Americans have access to the internet, and if Wenner’s idea becomes a reality, it could impact a vast audience. Thus, the JRE host reflected on why it is better not to have government involvement.
Spotify’s biggest podcast host discussed why the internet should not be regulated
The world’s biggest podcast host was ready with his answer as he gave his thoughts on government.
“They’re going to be in power and they’re regulating the internet they’re going to regulate the internet in a way that suits their best interest; same way they do with the banking industry, the same way they do with the environment, the same way they do with energy, the same way they do with everything. What represents their interest,” the former Fear Factor host said.
