This isn’t the first time Nate Diaz has hinted at the fact that Poirier is not a respected draw in the eyes of the UFC brass. Can Nate Diaz bounce back from two hard-fought losses?
Stockton’s second son hasn’t recorded a win since he faced Anthony Pettis back in August 2019. He’s since lost two fights in a row to Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards.
In his bout against Masvidal for the ‘BMF’ strap, a cage-side doctor did not give Nate Diaz the go-ahead to continue after he sustained a deep cut.

In fact, with more time on the clock, Nate Diaz could have very well swiped Edwards’ number three ranking.

Facing Poirier down at lightweight won’t be an easy feat despite the fact that ‘The Diamond’ is fresh off a loss. Although he lost to ‘Do Bronx’, Dustin Poirier, who is royalty at lightweight, will be favored to bounce back against Diaz.
