Francis Ngannou disappointed UFC fans when he left the world’s biggest MMA promotion in search of greener pastures. Ngannou and the UFC president, Dana White, went through several negotiations, but nothing turned fruitful. This ended up with Ngannou leaving the promotion. Later, he joined the UFC’s rival MMA promotion, the Professional Fighters League. His debut fight in PFL will take place in February or March 2024. Before fighting in PFL, ‘The Predator’ managed to grab an unimaginably enormous opportunity.
The Cameroonian-French fighter is all set to lock horns against boxing legend Tyson Fury. The momentous match will take place on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. ‘The Predator’ and ‘The Gypsy King’ will compete in an official match, the result of which will be included in their professional records. And now it seems Ngannou is all set to receive a fortune. This single match will bring Ngannou a lot of money, more than his entire UFC career.

The Cameroonian-French fighter sat with MMA Hour’s Ariel Helwani. The interview lasted for over 39 minutes, and for the most part, they discussed Ngannou’s upcoming bout against Fury. Helwani asked about the money Ngannou would receive for his boxing match against ‘The Gypsy King.’ The 36-year-old replied that he could not reveal the exact numbers. Later he said, “Compared to what I was making for my UFC fight, it’s day and night. It’s life-changing. And it would be the same thing if I was fighting in the PFL first. What I was making, what I did make in my last [UFC] fight, doesn’t even count. It’s not close, anywhere close.”
He added further on the topic, “I didn’t make that much in my entire UFC career.” Ngannou’s revelation was an eye-opener for the UFC, which pays less to the fighters. One of Ngannou’s demands to the UFC president, Dana White, was increased pay. White is notorious for paying less to fighters, and he was not ready to give what Ngannou wanted.
‘The Predator’ stands a chance for a rematch
YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul recently disclosed that Ngannou would earn a whopping $10 million for his upcoming boxing match against Fury. He would earn more than that if he managed to come out of the bout with flying colors.
