Song Kenan aka ‘The Assassin’ is a UFC welterweight fighter with an impressive record of 21-8-0. The 34-year-old has nine knockout wins in his bag and has impeccable striking accuracy. He is a professional MMA artist from China and he signed under the UFC. Kenan was raised in Hengshui, which is in the Hebei Province in China. As a young child, he was always inquisitive about martial arts and started fighting in competitions at a young age. He trained strictly during the time he was a teenager and won several grappling competitions in his local area.
After this, he made his mixed martial arts debut when he was just a 19-year-old boy. He joined the Kunlun Fight in 2015 and became one of the most talented fighters by winning three fights successively. In 2017, he was finally signed under UFC as a part of the Asia Pacific expansion plan. Notably, the fighter likes keeping his personal life private and therefore, there is no information about his parents on the internet.

The 34-year-old welterweight fighter is also married and has a son with his wife. He shares a lot of pictures of his family and his adorable child on his Instagram. The striker trains with the Team Alpha Male and is going to fight against Ricky Glenn at UFC 305. Just like all fighters, he too had a setback three years ago when he was laid off for 13 months, but then came back to fight Max Griffin.
The fighter might have steered clear of any major controversy, but he did fall into a little feud at UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Edwards. The fight between him and Hector Aldana ended in the second round because Song landed an overhand right while an injury in the first round made Aldana weaker. It seemed like Aldana cut his eyelid while Song was trying to defend an attack.

Nonetheless, the fight continued and Song won. The Chinese fighter even found himself amid a controversy with Ian Garry, even though he was not the one setting the fire. Garry had uploaded a picture of the injured Song after their fight. However, fans bashed him for it and he apologized. Garry wrote on Instagram, “A few ppl onhere find me posting this disrespectful. This has nothing to do with respect. The respect was in the cage I spoke to Song before I spoke to Rogan. This image, the fight everything was all over TV and it’s all over socials.”
