Irish UFC Legend Conor McGregor has made headlines for all the wrong reasons as of late. The former dual champion took on a retired football player, Paul McGrath, and hurt the sentiments of his own countrymen. Ultimately, The Irish football legend didn’t deserve to be disrespected by the UFC Star. McGregor also took a jibe at PJ Gallagher’s mental health, and McGrath couldn’t stomach it. And he did what any staunch friend would’ve done. After all, all McGrath ever did was support a friend from a bully.

Therefore, The Irish announced their support for McGrath. But, recently, a ghost from McGregor’s past reappeared to haunt him during this challenging period.

Desmond Keogh has not grown fond of Conor McGregor since their spat

Conor McGregor infamously punched Desmond Keogh at a bar fight in 2019. The Notorious even confessed guilty to assault and paid a $1000 fine. But Keogh has come back for revenge.

This time, the Ireland native gave his take on the Notorious’ spat with Manchester United legend Paul McGrath. He even insulted comedian PJ Gallagher on his mental health issues.

Keogh spoke with The Irish Mirror to express his take as an Irish native.

He said, “I have no interest in having McGregor in my life. I have blanked him out.”

But I am an Ireland supporter, and to say that about Paul McGrath, who is a national legend in my eyes, is a stupid thing to say.”

“That’s my opinion. Why would he say that?”

Somehow, McGregor has managed to antagonize his own countrymen.

Desmond Keogh also criticized McGregor for his stupid take on mental health. “And mental health is very important. What McGregor said about that was stupid as well.”

“I don’t know why anyone would speak about someone else’s mental health. There’s no reason for it.”

Back in April 2019, Conor McGregor offered a whiskey to Keogh, who sat at the bar at his Marble Arch Pub. But Keogh made the mistake of refusing Mystic Mac’s drink. For this reason, McGregor saw it fit to punch Keogh and ban him from his pub.

He has since barred both McGrath and Gallagher from entering his pub following their dispute.
