As an initiative to encourage unknown talents to pursue their career as MMA fighters. Masvidal started it as a tribute to MMA legend, Kimbo Slice, who recognized the talent of a young ‘Gamebred’. Now, the 38-year-old thinks he’s spotted a hot MMA prospect, who hails from South America. However, MMA fans recognized this prospect to be a prominent soccer figure and disagreed with Masvidal’s wild imagination.
Jorge Masvidal saw a UFC fighter in Lionel Messi
Jorge Masvidal proposed Argentina’s captain and World-cup winner, Lionel Messi, as a UFC Fighter on a recent Facebook post. However, only some MMA fans entertained the silly thought of the soccer player being an effective UFC fighter.

Solely because he can kick the ball pretty hard and generate a speed of 80mph to 90mph.

Other fans joked that the 7-time Ballon d’Or winner would concentrate those powerful kicks on the private parts of his opponents. However, the discourse surrounding the hypothetical situation was interesting, to say the least.
Gamebred is a huge fan of the Argentine
It is an open secret that Jorge Masvidal is an ardent fan of Argentina’s captain Lionel Messi. As Masvidal was one of the first UFC athletes to celebrate Argentina’s hard-fought victory against France to claim the FIFA World Cup.

Lionel Messi helped his team throughout the tournament with his contributions on and off the ball, to lead his team to victory.
And, Masvidal wrote “Congratulations Messi and Argentina Much love to my Latin brother and sisters.” on an Instagram post on December 19th, 2022 after the victory.
