Joe Rogan likes Israel Adesanya a lot. Some would even say a bit too much. That certainly seems to be the widespread sentiment in the comments section for the JRE Fight Companion for UFC 305 where the UFC commentator was joined by his friends and comedians Brendan Schaub, Tony Hinchcliffe, and Brian Simpson.
The fact that the quartet likes Adesanya more than Dricus Du Plessis was clear from the start and was apparent throughout the middleweight’s UFC 305 title clash. So much so that the fans had a field day calling out Rogan and his friends for their alleged ‘bias’ towards ‘Izzy and their ‘glazing’ of the former champion.
It is no secret that Israel Adesanya and Rogan are close friends, with ‘Izzy’ being one of the few people who went out of his way to defend the JRE podcast host during the whole ‘N-word’ controversy a couple of years ago.

One of the things that really stuck in the fans’ craws the most and irritated them was Simpson claiming he felt “America lost a war or something” after ‘Izzy’ submitted. Not to mention Joe Rogan jumping on the smallest thing Adesanya did well while not being as enthusiastic when ‘DDP’ had the advantage.
“Izzy just hit a beautiful combination. Dricus is in real trouble. This is exciting, this is the old ‘Stylebender’ kids,” Rogan said in the fourth round about a minute before Du Plessis secured the fatal choke on Adesanya. Here is a sample of the fans’ reaction to Rogan and co.’s ‘glazing’ of Adesanya.

One commenter was ecstatic to see Rogan and friends get salty over Israel Adesanya losing unceremoniously to Du Plessis: “Brian “I just want the black guy to win” Simpson and the manlet council here so mad DDP won.”
Another pointed out the crestfallen reaction of the podcast at seeing Adesanya submit, especially Rogan, who put his hands on his head and turned his chair on it: “They were so b**thurt when Izzy got finished”
Another boldly predicted that this podcast episode was one that would live in infamy simply because of how biased it was towards Du Plessis: “The Izzy glazing on this stream will go down in history.” One fan quipped that this episode of the Fight Companion had a very special sponsor: “This Fight Companion was sponsored by Izzy’s Tears…”
