Dana White and Co. split from the USADA and it was as if everything went ablaze. However, it looks like the UFC Boss has everything under control and well-planned. Unlike what many thought, White’s plans are still clear and replacements have already been made.

The UFC CEO recently appeared for an interview with sports analyst and former football punter, Patrick McAfee. He spoke about all things USADA and told the interviewer his plans for what will happen next. Interestingly, White has decided to go up against his friend Joe Rogan‘s advice with his next popular move. Here’s the story.

Very recently, Conor McGregor and his controversial statements and practices led to a split between the UFC and USADA. However, things got heated up amidst the testing agency’s exit as they accused Dana White and Co. of being over-critical of their practices. Now, White has answers to everything but he’ll only make a few known to the public.

The UFC Boss has previously heard Joe Rogan speak about the drug testing at the UFC. Rogan has been public about how the UFC should handle the testing of their athletes themselves. This will save them the trouble of hiring a third-party company to do it for them. McAfee voiced his thoughts about the advice and White informed him that he won’t be taking that advice.

“We would still pay an independent company,” White told McAfee. “It’s the best way to do it. We have a standard that we’ve set here but a lot of people are not happy with USADA. Our deal is up at the end of the year and we’re working on going in another direction and especially after the dirty sc*mbag move that they pulled yesterday.”

It’s clear that White has no intention of handling the testing in-house. It would take a lot of work like getting approved by a commission and settling in facilities and devices. Instead, hiring a third party will do them much good and also make things easier. In a recent statement, UFC leaders Hunter Campbell and Jeff Novitzky told the press about their next move.

With a brilliant backup plan in his back pocket, it looks like the decision to move away from USADA wasn’t as unhinged as people first felt. The fighters will still be tested and the tests will be better and more efficient if Novitzky is to be believed. In the meantime, the UFC has threatened legal action against USADA for their accusatory comments in their recent statement.
