But it all began in 2007, with the Irishman’s first-ever professional MMA bout, in Dublin. Recently, a fan on Instagram shared a video of the former double champion’s beginning. Without a doubt, the video caught the attention of ‘The Notorious’ as he went ahead and shared the video on his Instagram story.
While the 16-year-old event took the fighter down memory lane, his present with The Ultimate Fighter has started to rise. The fighter was selected as a coach for TUF 31, to coach against Michael Chandler. However, McGregor’s comeback remains in jeopardy, as he is yet to enlist for the USADA testing.

Conor McGregor’s first-ever MMA fight
On 17 February 2007, the UFC superstar and former double champion made his debut in the world of mixed martial arts. Recently, the world revisited the event after a fan released the video of McGregor’s fight against Kieran Campbell on Instagram. McGregor was then just a 19-year-old boy striving for success.
The caption read, “16 years ago, @TheNotoriousMMA made his amateur MMA debut & finished Kieran Campbell. The bout took place in Dublin, Ireland for the promotion Irish Ring of Truth.”

The clip showed the young McGregor bashing his opponent with a barrage of punches and soon after; the referee had to conclude the match. After winning the bout, the young fighter began jumping around and celebrating his debut victory.
Unquestionably, the former UFC double champion stumbled across the video. He then shared the clip on his Instagram stories. Without a doubt, the remembrance must have made him nostalgic. However, with eyes on the present, the fighter moves forward to his act as the TUF coach.
Conor McGregor hasn’t enlisted in the USADA yet
As the shoot for The Ultimate Fighter commenced, concerns about McGregor’s USADA enlistment rose in the promotion. The fighter’s comeback after recovering from a gruesome leg injury is indeed one of the most anticipated events in the UFC. However, the fact that the fighter is yet to be tested by USADA might jeopardize the fight with Chandler.

USADA updated their test history today and Conor McGregor is yet to be tested in 2023.
If his bout with Michael Chandler is to be booked for September as has been speculated, he will need to reenroll in the USADA anti-doping program in the coming weeks if he hasn't already.

Aaron Bronsteter took to Twitter and disclosed the fact. He wrote, “USADA updated their test history today and Conor McGregor is yet to be tested in 2023. If his bout with Michael Chandler is to be booked for September as has been speculated, he will need to reenroll in the USADA anti-doping program in the coming weeks if he hasn’t already.”
